Fully Qualified Mechanic

My sister just became a fully qualified mechanic! She was laughed at ten years ago when she told everyone she wanted to be a mechanic, and was assured she would change her mind. Well, she didn’t change her mind and today she achieved her lifelong dream. I am so proud of her and so happy for her. She deserves nothing but the best from life.

I went along with her one time to the workshop that she works at, and I was astounded by how complicated the work they do is. I always thought that when I got my regular log book service that it was just easy money for the mechanic. I was wrong. The amount of work that goes into making sure each car is safe and roadworthy is ridiculous. My office-wired brain never thought about it.

Now, you’re probably thinking that I get heaps of discounts because my sister is a mechanic. Unfortunately for me, this is not the case. My sister won’t even let me get my car serviced at her workshop. She said she doesn’t believe in mixing business and family, and so I have to settle for the work of lesser mechanics. I’m still proud of how good she is at her job but regardless of this, I’d love to be able to reap the benefits of her talents myself!

I suppose I’ll just find myself always wishing I could visit the best mechanic Underwood has ever seen – namely, my sister.

I will always be proud of my little sister. She is a fantastic and talented woman who will keep people safe on the roads for the years to come. I can’t wait to witness everything she achieves and support her the whole way through her life. She is absolutely kicking goals! I’m hoping that once she feels more established in her career, she’ll let me be a customer of hers. I’d love to have her expert hands fixing my car.
